New Clinical Site for Franciscan Skemp Students

Tom Murphy, CRNA of Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital, announces that senior students from the Franciscan Skemp School of Nurse Anesthesia have begun rotating through their anesthesia department for a one to two week clinical rotation. Students are gaining additional experience at performing regional anesthesia, peripheral nerve blocks and are gaining insights into the multifaceted aspects of providing anesthesia services in a busy rural hospital. This clinical site is proving to be very popular with the students. According to Barb Jochman, program director, the addition of the Sauk Prairie clinical site brings the total number of off campus clinical sites to four. The opening of the additional sight has been a contributing factor in increasing student enrollment to eleven students for the upcoming year!  Members of the Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital Department of Anesthesia include; Suzanne M.
